I've been playing with computers for money for about 35 years. I started in high school and part of college, setting up, fixing, and upgrading computers before most anyone knew about the internet.

Halfway through college I was hired by a bank and discovered databases. Then I spent about 20 years managing computers, networks, phones, and a slew of databases. Somewhere in there I even wrote a couple of systems to run small businesses.

Eventually I grew tired of corporate culture and started a tech business with one of my oldest friends. We've been working with PHP, various databases, and all kinds of JavaScript and CSS frameworks and raw code ever since. A couple of years ago I typed something into ChatGPT, and I haven't been able to stop running AI experiments since.
